blished at the termination of any road now existing as a public road,
or in any case in which it is required to open, change or alter a pub-
lic road to lead to any navigable water, in the same manner as the
courts are now authorised to do in relation to public roads.

2. And be it enacted, That in all cases in which it is required to
establish a public landing, the commissioners shall be directed to as-
certain whether the public convenience requires that such public land-
ing shall be established, and shall return a plot and description there-
of, with a full report of their proceedings in the same manner as they
are now required to do on applications for public roads, and the same
proceedings shall thereupon be had us are now directed by law in re-
lation to public roads.

3. And be it enacted, That the respective levy courts in the coun-
ties in which they are vested with jurisdiction on the subject of pub-
lie roads, be, and they are hereby authorised to exercise the same
powers, and pursue the same mode of proceeding in establishing pub-
lic landing places as aforesaid, as they now have, can claim, or exercise
in opening public roads.

CHAPTER 121.
A. supplement to the act, entitled, An act for the benefit of Anna Boyd, wife of
James 1*. Boyd, of the City of Baltimore.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That Anna
Boyd, wife of James P. Boyd, of the city of Baltimore, be, and she is
hereby authorised to pass receipts for all monies received by her,
since the insanity of her husband, and the same shall be as good and
effectual, as would be receipts for such monies given by said James P.
Boyd, if he was not insane, and was competent to give them.

CHAPTER 122.
A. supplement to an act, entitled, An act to change the place of holding the elec-
tions in the third election district in Cecil County, and for other purposes.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges of the respective election districts in Cecil county, may ap-
point in their discretion, two of the constables of their respective dis-
tricts to attend on the days of election, at the place of receiving the
votes, at the different election districts in which such constables may
reside, if they should deem it necessary for the purpose of preserving
the peace, and quelling disorders and riots.

2. And be it enacted, That all such part or parts, of the act to which
this is a supplement, as are inconsistent with the provisions of this
act, be, and the same are hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 123.
An act to repeal the act of Assembly, passed at December session, 1818, chapter
89, so far as relates to Somerset and Dorchester Counties.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the act
if assembly, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and eigh-
teen, chapter eighty-nine, as far as the same relates to Somerset and
Dorchester counties, be, and the same is hereby repealed.

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act to incorporate the Hibernian Society
of Baltimore.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
