James Burns, shall within twelve months after he is capable of be-
coming a citizen, naturalize himself agreeably to the laws of the Uni-
ted States, but if the said James Burns should die before he becomes
naturalized, nothing in this proviso shall prevent him from transmit-
ting or transferring his said property by descent or devise to any per-
son or persons, being a citizen or citizens of the United States, and
residing therein, capable in law to hold the same.

CHAPTER 5.

An act to after and change the name of Samuel Busick Jump to Samuel Jump
Busick.
Whereas, by the last will and testament of Senah Busick, of Queen
Ann's county, he has devised a part of his estate to Samuel Busick
Jump, provided he shall have his name changed to Samuel Jump Bu-
sick.

Preamble.

Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the name of Samuel Busick Jump be, and is hereby changed and al-
tered unto the name of Samuel Jump Busick, and it shall and may be
lawful for the said Samuel Busick Jump at all times hereafter, to be
called and known by and hold and use the name of Samuel Jump Bu-
sick, and by this name to purchase, sell, convey or devise, and to sue
and be sued in any court of law or equity.

2. And be it enacted, That all securities, promises, contracts,
assurances, deeds and lawful acts whatsoever hereafter to be made,
or done by or to the said Samuel Busick Jump, by the name of Sam-
uel Jump Busick, shall be of the same force and effect, and equally a-
vail to all intents and purposes, as if the name of Samuel Jump Bu-
sick, had been the true and proper name.

CHAPTER 6.

An act to authorise Walker K. Armstead, of Prince George's county, to remove
negro Cyrus into this state.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Walker K. Armstead, of Prince George's county, be, and he is here-
by authorised at any time after the passage of this act to remove and
bring into this state a certain negro Slave named Cyrus, and that the
removal of the said slave to this state shall not in any manner entitle
him to his freedom: Provided, that the said slave when removed a-
greeably to the provisions of this act, shall be registered among the
records of Prince George's county court, within three months after
his removal.

2. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act contained, shall be
construed to authorize a disposition of said slave except in case of
disposition by last will and testament and dispositions by law for bona
fide debts or consequent upon intestacy, in less than three years after
the passage of this act.

CHAPTER 7.

An act for the benefit of Benjamin McCreery and John Watkins, of Harford
county.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
Abel Alderson, James Denver, of Richard, and William Careins, be,
and they are hereby appointed commissioners, and any two of them
are authorised to ascertain what damages, it any, in addition to those
already assessed, the said Benjamin McCreery and John Watkins
have sustained by a road laid out by order of Harford county court,
