shall be, and they are hereby declared to be, good and available in
law or equity, to all intents and purposes, notwithstanding any ille-
gality, in electing the said vestry which may at any time heretofore
have occurred.

Parish church

2. And be it enacted, That the Protestant Episcopal Church in
Chester Town shall hereafter be the parish church of Chester parish,
and the vestrymen for the said parish, may hereafter be elected at
the same, according to the provisions of the act entitled, "An act
for the establishment of vestries for each parish in this state, " passed
at November session, seventeen hundred and ninety eight, chapter
twenty four.

Preamble.

CHAPTER 111.

An act for the benefit of Dennis Sollers and Pricilla Sollers his wife.
WHEREAS, it has been represented to the general assembly of Ma-
ryland, that the father of Priscilla Sollers has by his last will and
testament made provision for the support and maintenance of said
Priscilla during her life, on condition that she shall not prosecute or
set up any claim of dower in the estate of Dennis Sollers her hus-
band, that it will be for her interest that she should receive the bene-
fit of such provision and that she is willing to receive the same on
the terms it is given, and be further barred from any claim she now
has or may hereafter have on the estate of her said husband, there-
fore,

cluded.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Pricilla Sollers wife of Dennis Sollers, be, and she is hereby
barred and excluded from a right of dower she now has or may here-
after have to and in any and all the real estate which said Dennis
Sollers now holds or is in any way entitled to or that he may hereaf-
ter hold or be entitled to, as also all right and claim to any part of
his mixed or personal estate should she survive the said Dennis Sol-
lers, and it shall not be necessary for said Priscilla to execute any re-
linquishment of dower or join in any deed or conveyance for the
purpose of divesting herself of all right of dower, and all claim
which she now has or may hereafter have to all the estate real, per-
sonal and mixed which said Dennis Sollers now has or is entitled to
or may hereafter have and be entitled to, but this act shad be taken
and deemed sufficient and effectual for that purpose.

Benefit of last
will.

2. And be it enacted, That because of the first section of this act,
the said Priscilla Sollers shall have and be entitled to the full bene-
fit of the provision made for her support and maintenance in the last
will and testament of her said father, and the said Dennis Sollers
shall not be entitled to or use and enjoy any part of the same or any
other property real, personal or mixed which the said Priscilla may
hereafter acquire, either by purchase or otherwise, and the said Pri-
scilla is hereby authorised and empowered to contract, acquire pro-
perty and dispose of the same in the same manner as if she were a
feme sole.

An act to repeal an act, entitled, "An act to alter, change and repeal
such parts of the constitution and J arm of government of this state as
relate to the division of St. Mary's county into four election dis-
tricts, " passed at November session, one thousand eight hundred and
six, and confirmed at November session, one thousand eight hundred
seven.
