they shall see cause, and that they be and are hereby -authorized and
empowered to levy at their aforesaid meetings, on the assessable
property of said county, such sum or sums of money as they may
deem necessary for trie support and maintenance of Whittington
Steel and Hetty Parker, the ideot daughter of Azariah Parker, of
said county, and that the said sum or sums of money, be collected.
by the collector of Worcester county, and by him be paid to the
said Whittington Steel and Azariah Parker, or to their order; Pro-
vided, That the sum or sums of money which may be as aforesaid
levied for the suport and maintenance of the said Whittington Steel
and Hetty Parker, shall not exceed the sum of fifty dollars for any
one year.

CHAPTER 23.
A further supplement to An act, entitled, An act for the distribution
of a certain fund for the purpose of establishing free schools in the
several counties therein named.
Whereas, By the act to which this is a supplement, the president
and Secretary of the commissioners appointed for Queen Ann's
county, with a majority of the said commissioners is required to pass
accounts relating to the distribution of the said fund, and it is found
to be inconvenient to bring together a majority of the said commis-
ioners as often as necessary for passing accounts; Therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
secretary and any two of the commissioners shall be a sufficient
board to examine and pass accounts against the said board, any law
to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 24.
An act for the relief of Matthias Clements of Charles County.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Charles county, be and they are hereby authorised
and required to levy on the assessable property of said county, so
long as they may think proper; any sum not exceeding thirty dollars
annually, for the support and maintenance of Matthias Clements of
Charles county.

2. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of the collector of,
Charles county, to collect and pay over to the said Matthias Clements,
or to his order, such sum as shall be annually levied for that purpose.

CHAPTER25.
An act for the relief of Mary Robey of Charles County.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the levy
court of Charles county, be, and they are hereby authorized and
empowered to levy on the assessable property of said county, a sum
of money not exceeding thirty dollars annually, so long as they shall
deem proper, for the support and maintenance of Mary Robey of said
county.

act of December session 1821, chapter 38.
WHEREAS, By a law passed at December session, eighteen hun-
dred and twenty-one, chapter 38 entitled, An act to repeal all such
parts of the constitution and form of government as relate to the
division of Baltimore county, into seven seperate election districts
