vious to her application for the benefit of the said laws, and that her
want of residence in this state shall not prevent her from obtaining
the full benefit of the said laws; Provided always, that in every other
respect she comply with the conditions of the said insolvent laws as
fully as if she had resided the proper length of time in the state of
Maryland and this law had not passed, and that she also satisfy the
judge of the orphans' court of said county to whom she may apply,
that she did not come into this state with an intention to take the be-
nefit of said insolvent laws.

CHAPTER 186.

An act, entitled, A supplement to an act for the relief of the poor in
Saint Mary's county.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court for Saint Mary's county, be, and they
are hereby authorised and empowered to keep as many out pensioners
as they in their wisdom may think proper; Provided, no such pension
shall exceed the sum of thirty dollars, for each and every out pen-
sioner so allowed.
2. And be it enacted, That the said levy court, be, and they are
hereby authorised and empowered, to levy on the assessable property
of the said county, such sums of money, as would be required to
carry into effect this act.

CHAPTER 187.

An act for the relief of James Delany, of the city of Baltimore.
lie it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That James
Delany of the city of Baltimore, be, and he is exempted from the
provisions of the insolvent laws of this state, which requires a resi-
dence in this state of two years; Provided however, that the said
James Delany shall not receive the benefit of said insolvent laws
unless he comply with all the other terms and conditions of said laws,
and that he also satisfy the court or commissioners to whom he may
apply, that he did not come into this state, for the purpose of apply-
ing for the benefit of said laws.

CHAPTER 188.

An act for the extension of Forrest street in the city of Baltimore.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
mayor and city council of Baltimore shall have full power and autho-
rity, if they shall deem it expedient, to pass any ordinance or ordi-
nances for the opening and extension of Forrest street, in the city of
Baltimore, and to make such provisions for the assessment of dam-
ages and the collection and payment of the same, as shall in their
judgment be most effectual for that purpose.

CHAPTER 189.

An act to incorporate the visitors of a school in Baltimore county.
WHEREAS it hath been represented to this General Assembly, that
a certain Thomas Tolly did, by deed of indenture bearing date the
second day of September, seventeen hundred and twenty-four, sell
and convey to the Rev. William Tebbs, Col. John Dorsey, William
Hambleton, John Stokes, Thomas Sheredine and Roger Matthews, as
visitors of Baltimore county school, and their successors for ever, a
tract of land called Scholars' Plains, being part of a tract of land
called Richardson's Outlet, containing one hundred acres of land, for
