CHAPTER 104.
An act for opening roads in Harford county.
Sec. 1. Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be lawful for the levy court of Harford county, if they
in their judgment deem it expedient, to levy such sum of money on
the assessable property of said county as they shall deem necessary,
to open the turnpike road as located from Belle-Air to the Little
Falls of Gun-powder, in case the turnpike company give their assent,
and appoint an overseer or overseers to open the same, which road
when opened, to be kept in repair as other public roads are in said
county.

2. And be it enacted, That it shall be lawful for the Balti-
more and Harford Turnpike Company, at any time to turnpike the
said road as authorised by their act of incorporation, in case they
shall pay Harford county the full amount of money expended in
opening the same, and paying of damages to the land holders over
whose land the said road is laid.

3. And be it enacted, That in case the said levy court shall
deem it expedient to open the said road, they shall appoint three
men to value the damages sustained by the land-holders over whose
land the said road is located, or to agree with them in case they
can; which money shall then be levied, collected and paid over to,
the said land-holders.

CHAPTER 105.
An act for the benefit of Elizabeth Dedman and others, of Kent
county.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
levy court of Kent county, be, and they are hereby authorised and
required, to levy annually upon the assessable property of said coun-
ty, a sum not exceeding eighty dollars, for the support and mainte-
nance of Elizabeth Dedman, Sally Ann M'Kenney, (a cripple,) Ra-
chel Stewart, (deaf and dumb,) and Sally Ann Stewart, (also deaf
and dumb,) all of said county; and that it shall be the duty of the
collector of said county, to collect and pay over to James Parker,
Jesse Knock and Nicholas Smith, or to their order, the sum so le-
vied; and when received, they shall at their discretion distribute or
pay over the said sum for the sole benefit and maintenance of the
said persons, at such time and in such portions as they in their wis-
dom may think proper.

CHAPTER 106.
A supplement to an act entitled, An act to confirm and make valid the
acts and proceedings of the commissioners of the Town of Princess
Anne, in Somerset county.

Preamble.
|
Whereas, The act which provided for the appointment of com-
missioners for the regulation and improvement of the said town and
its precincts, among other things, directed that the said commission-
ers or a major part of them, should meet together at the court-house
in the said town, or at such other public place within the limits
thereof as should be previously notified, in the month of April eigh-
teen hundred and sixteen, and statedly on the first Monday in eve-
ry third month thereafter, and as much oftener by adjournments as
they should judge to be necessary; and when so assembled the said
