the public roads in said county, more than two dollars per day for
his service, nor more than fifty cents per day for a good laboring
hand above the age of eighteen years; nor more than one dollar and
fifty cents per day for a cart and team; nor more than one dollar
and fifty cents per day for a plough and team, any thing in any for-
mer act of assembly to the contrary notwithstanding.

CHAPTER 94.
An act authorising the Levy Court of Frederick county to raise a
sum of money to build a bridge over Big Pipe Creek.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Frederick county, be, and it is hereby authorised
and empowered, to levy in its discretion, such sum of money on
the assessable property in said county, as may be sufficient to build
a bridge over Big Pipe Creek, at the place where the main road
leading from Frederick-Town to Taney-Town crosses said creek.

CHAPTER 95.
An act for the benefit of Samuel Thomas, of Talbot county.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the justices of the levy court of Talbot county, shall, and they are
hereby authorised and directed, if they shall deem it right and pro-
per, annually, to levy on the assessable property of said county, so
long as they shall see cause, for the support and maintenance of
Samuel Thomas, of said county, a sum of money not exceeding-
thirty dollars and; the same when collected, shall be paid by the
collector of said county to the said Samuel Thomas; or his order,
for the purposes aforesaid.

CHAPTER 96.
An act to enlarge the powers of the Trustees of the Poor of Saint
Mary's County.
Be it Enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful for the trustees of the poor in Saint
Mary's county, and they are hereby authorised and empowered, in
their discretion, to keep any number of out pensions not exceeding
ten, in addition to the number already provided for by law, upon
the same circumstances as are already prescribed by law.

CHAPTER 97.
An act for the support and maintenance of Teresa Mankin, of Charles
county, and her Infant Children.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the levy court of Charles county be, and they are hereby authoris-
ed and required, to levy on the assessable property of said county,
the sum of forty dollars annually, for the support of Teresa Man-
kin, of Charles county, and her infant children.
