Wages of labo-
rers.

CHAPTER 33.

A supplement to the act entitled, An act to change and alter the mode
' of repairing the public roads in Caroline county.
Sec. 1. Be it Enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland,
That in lieu of the wages allowed by the act to which this is a sup-
plement, the following wages shall be given, to wit: for every able
bodied male hand, over eighteen years old and under forty-five years
old, forty-five cents per day, and for cart, team and driver, haul-
ing dirt, timber or other materials necessary for the repair of the
public roads, the sum of one dollar per day; and for every day which
each supervisor shall necessarily attend on said roads as supervi-
sor, he shall be entitled to the sum of one dollar and no more.

Repeal.

2. And be it enacted, That from and after the pass sage of
this act, the seventh section of the act to which this is a supplement,
shall be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHATTER 34.

An act for the support and maintenance of Mary Farrel, of Charles
county.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Levy Court of Charles county, be, and they are hereby author-
ised and required, to levy on the assessable property of said coun-
ty, the sum of forty dollars annually, for the support and mainte-
nance of Mary Farrell of said county.

Preamble.

CHAPTER 35.

, An act to alter and repeal such parts of the constitution and form of
government of this state, as relate to the division of Frederick county
into election districts.
Whereas, It has been represented to this general assembly,
that great inconveniences has been experienced for the want of
two additional districts in Frederick county, for remedy whereof:

Repeal.

Sec. 1. BE it enacted By the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all that part of the constitution and form of government, made
such by the act of eighteen hundred and two, and eighteen hundred
and three, which directs that Frederick county shall be divided and
laid off into nine separate districts, be, and the same is hereby re-
pealed.

Division.

2. And be it enacted, That Frederick county shall be divi-
ded and laid off into eleven separate districts.

When con-
firmed to be

valid.

3. And be it enacted, That if this act shall be confirmed by
the next general assembly, after the next election of delegates, in
the first session after such new election, as the constitution and form
of government directs, in such case, this act and the alteration in
the said constitution contained therein, shall be considered as a part,
and shall constitute and be valid as a part of the said constitution
and form of government, to all intents and purposes, any thing
therein contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

An act for the relief of Mary Nevitt, of Saint Mary's county.
Be it enacted By the General Assembly of Atari/land, That
the levy court of Saint Mary's county, be, and they are hereby au-
