rised to pay.

CHAP. CCI.

An Act for the Payment of the Journal of Accounts,

WHEREAS it appears by the journal of accounts of this session,
that there is due from this state the sum of thirty-seven thousand
and nineteen dollars and twenty and a quarter cents;
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
treasurer of the western shore be and he is hereby authorised and
required to pay the several persons, their executors, administra-
tors, assigns or orders, or to such of them as shall offer to receive
the same, the several sums of current money allowed to them res-
pectively, as they appear to be settled and ascertained by the said
journal of accounts, out of any money now in the treasury, or
that shall come into the treasury, subject to the appropriation of
the general assembly.

CHAP. CCII.

An Act to authorise the Levy Court of Dorchester County to allow a sum of
money for the purposes therein mentioned.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
judges of the levy court of Dorchester county he and they are
hereby authorised to make such allowances to Charles, Stephen,
and Levin Lecompte, children of Levin Lecompte, late of the
same county, deceased, for monies paid by them, or their guardians,
over and above their true proportion of the county charges for the
years 1812, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, as they upon examina-
tion of the facts may think just and reasonable.

laying out Pratt-

street from South
Gay to Frederick
street.

CHAP. CCIII.

A Supplement to an act, entitled, An Act to provide for the opening and ex-
tension of Pratt-street, in the City of Baltimore.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the. board of commissioners appointed under the act for the open-
ing and extension of Pratt-street, passed at December session
eighteen hundred and seventeen, be and they are hereby appoint-
ed commissioners for laying out and surveying Pratt street, from
South Gay-street to Frederick street, according to the location
and delineation thereof by the commissioners for laying down
streets, lanes and alleys, within the city of Baltimore, and any
vacancies happening in said board from neglect to qualify, or
otherwise, shall be filled by the commissioners who shall consent
to act.

To cause a survey
and two plots to
be made, &c.

2. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners shall cause a
survey, and two plots, to be made, of the situation of the ground
across which the said street is required to be laid out, and such
lots and docks as are adjacent thereto, and shall mark out and
designate the said street upon the said plots, and upon the ground,
and shall return, under their hands and seals, one of the plots to
be lodged in the office of the register of the city of Baltimore,
there to remain as a part of the said city, and the other plot to
the office of the clerk of Baltimore county court, to be by him
preserved among the records of said court.

3. And be it enacted, That the said commissioners, after having
surveyed the ground and designated the street as aforesaid, shall
proceed forthwith to ascertain and determine what damages will
