SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the county Com-
missioners of Baltimore county are hereby au-
thorised to levy the sum of three hundred and
eighty-two dollars and eighty-one cents, on the
assessable property of said county, to be paid to
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, for ex-
cess of valuation of that portion of the Alms
house property allotted to Baltimore county, over
the portion allotted to Baltimore city in the divi-
sion of said property already made by said city
and county.

In force.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the passage of the same.

CHAPTER 82.

ary 23, 1858.

AN ACT to make valid a deed from Richard
Bowen, therein mentioned.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General As-
sembly of Maryland, and appears by evidence
on the face of the original deed, between Rich-
ard Bowen, of Richmond, in the State of Vir-
ginia, of the first part, Thomas H. Robinson,
of the second part, and Elizabeth Robinson,
wife of the said Thomas H. Robinson, of the
third part, recorded among the land records of
Baltimore county, in Liber H. M. F. No. 8,
Folio 29; when considered in connexion with
the certificates of the Judge before whom the
same was acknowledged; and of the clerk of
the court thereto annexed, that the said deed
was in fact executed and acknowledged accord-
ing to then existing laws of this State; but all
which is not strictly and regularly shown by
said certificates; and whereas, it also appears
that the consideration for the said deed, set
forth therein was bona fide paid to the said
Richard Bowen, at or before the delivery of the
said deed; and that the said grantee has been
