charged or received until said road has been com-
pleted according to the provisions of this act,
from the town of Bel Air to the Cross Roads at

Frogtown.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That in case the said
company shall not he able to agree with the owner
or owners of any land over or through whose

lands the said road may be made, it shall be law-
ful for said company to cause any Justice of the

Peace of Harford county, to issue his warrant to
the Sheriff, directing him to summon twelve im-
partial jurors to meet on said land, on a day to be
therein named to assess the damages sustained by
said owner or owners, by reason of said road pas-
sing through such land, which inquisition shall
be returned to the Clerk's Office, and either party
shall have the right to appeal to the Circuit Court
of Harford county, from the verdict or finding of
said jury, within sixty days from the date of said
verdict.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That said company,
shall not exercise any banking powers, or issue

any paper to be used as currency.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 400.

In force.

AN ACT to incorporate the subscribers to the
Havre de Grace Academy in Harford county.

Passed March
10, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That all persons who are now
or may hereafter become subscribers to the capital
stock for the establishment of an academy in
Havre de Grace, in Harford county, shall be and
they are hereby made and constituted a body
politic and corporate by the name, style and title
of the Havre de Grace Academy, and by that
