inspect all grain that I shall be called upon to
weigh and inspect, and that I will fairly and im-
partially, without favor or partiality, hatred or
bias, take out, and remove and keep for delivery
and exhibition, a fair and just sample of all grain
inspected by me, and that I will not receive du-
ring the time I hold the office of Inspector Gen-
eral, or Inspector of grain, any fee or reward
from any one, either directly or indirectly, for
the discharge of my duty, and that I will not
buy or sell any grain, or act as agent for any
one, or assist in the buying, selling, or consign-
ing any grain, for any one during the time I
shall hold the said office, and in every other res-
pect fairly and honestly, without prejudice or
partiality, discharge all the duties of Inspector
General or Inspector of grain, to the best of my
skill and judgment, so help me God.

Inspectors to
give bond.
|
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That the said In-
spector General, before he enters into the dis-
charge of the duties of his office, shall give bond
to the State of Maryland, with two securities,
to be approved by the Comptroller, in the pen-
alty of ten thousand dollars, conditioned for the
faithful performance of the duties imposed by
this act; and each assistant Inspector shall give
bond, with two securities, also to be approved by
the Comptroller, in the penalty of five thousand
dollars, with a like condition as the bond of the
Inspector General, and in the event of ft failure
to perform any duties assigned the said Inspector
by this act or any subsequent act, the said bond
or bonds may be put in suit, by order of the
Comptroller, for the benefit of the State, and
judgment rendered thereon, as is now done upon
the other official bonds in this State.

Inspectors to
make daily re-
turns.
|
SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That each Inspec-
tor appointed under the provisions of this act,
shall make a daily return, verified by affidavit to
the Inspector General, of the number of bushels
of grain inspected by him, and the said Inspector
General shall make an entry of the same in a
bound book containing the number of bushels in-
spected for each person, and the said Inspector
General shall charge and receive for the inspec-
tion and weighing of wheat, one cent per bushel
upon the entire cargo or lot, and one-half cent
