At a session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held at the City of Annapolis on the first Wednesday of Jan-
uary, being the sixth day of said month, in the year of our
Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-eight, and ended
the tenth day of March of said year ;

THE FOLLOWING LAWS WERE ENACTED, TO WIT :

	CHAPTER 1. A SUPPLEMENT TO THE ACT entitled, an act to incorporate the Canton Company of Bal- timore, passed at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, chapter one hundred and fifty-nine.	Passed Janu- ary 14, 1858.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem- bly of Maryland, That the Canton Company of Baltimore be and they are hereby authorised to receive in payment, or in part payment, for lands or other property, to be sold by them, shares of the capital stock of said company, and to become the owner of shares of their capital stock by pur-	Authorised to receive capital stock in part payment for lands, &c.
