directed to issue his warrant to the Treasurer di-
recting him to pay over to the Trustees of said
Academy, the sum of five hundred dollars to be
applied by said Trustees in the education of fe-
males in said academy, and the same amount
annually.

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That the sum of five
hundred dollars be and the same is hereby an-
nually appropriated out of the Treasury for the
use of the Trustees of said seminary.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted. That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 117.

In force.

AN ACT to secure the more speedy payment of
the Bailiffs, Crier and Talesmen of the Circuit
Court for Carroll county.

Passed March

4, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners for
Carroll county, be, and they are hereby authorised
and required to pay to the bailiffs, crier and tales-
men of the Circuit Court for Carroll county, at its
several sessions, the several sums of money due to
them for their respective services as such bailiffs,
crier and talesmen, immediately on the presenta-
tion to the said Commissioners of the certificate
of their attendance and services, from the clerk of
said court.

Commission-
ers authorised.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
