court be and he is hereby authorised and directed
to index all judgments standing on the docket of
said court for twelve years last past, in the names
of all the persons against whom said judgments
have been rendered.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That from and after
the passage of this act, whenever a judgment shall
be rendered in said court, it shall be the duty of
the clerk of said court to enter upon his index the
name of all the defendants against whom said
judgments shall have been rendered.
|

Commission-
ers authorised
to levy.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners for Talbot county be and they are
hereby authorised and required to levy upon the
assessable property of said county, a sum suffi-
cient to defray the expenses of making and con-
tinuing the general index as aforesaid.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

A SUPPLEMENT TO AN ACT to incorporate
a Company to make a Turnpike Road in Wash-
ington County, from Hagerstown in said county
to Middleburg on the Pennsylvania line, pas-
sed December session, eighteen hundred and
forty-nine, chapter two hundred and forty-one.

Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Isaac Nesbitt, Jerome D.
Brumbaugh, James H. Grove, A. W. Lewis,
Henry Horine, Andrew Brumbaugh, Samuel
Brumbaugh, John McKee, Leonard Middlekauff
and Joseph P. Mong, and all other persons who
may have subscribed or may hereafter subscribe
to the stock of said company, be and they are
hereby incorporated a body politic for making a
Turnpike Road, to be commenced at some point
within the corporate limits of the town of Hagers-
