CHAPTER 293.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT amendatory of an act to incorporate Ches-
apeake city, in Cecil county, passed March first,
eighteen hundred and fifty, chapter two hundred
and seventy-one.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That on the first Monday of May next,
at the tavern house now occupied by Peter Bouchell,
and on the first Monday in May, in each and every
year thereafter, at such place as shall be designated
by the president and commissioners of said town, the
qualified voters be and they are hereby authorized to
elect commissioners as provided by the original act
to which this is amendatory.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That Doctor J. V.
Wallace, George M. Tyson, Richard H. Bryan,
George W. Foulk, and David F. Karsner, be and
they are hereby appointed commissioners to ascertain,
lay off and fix the boundaries of the said town of
Chesapeake city, as provided by section nine of the
act to which this is amendatory, instead of the per-
sons therein named.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That, sections two
and nine of the original act, to which this amendato-
ry, be and they are hereby repealed so far as they are
inconsistent with the provisions of this act.
