CHAPTER 291.

AN ACT to extend the time in which Thomas M.
D. Baden, keeper of the standards of weights and
measures for Prince George's county, may make
his return to the Commissioners' Court for said
county.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly that Thomas M. D. Baden, keeper of the
standards of weights and measures for Prince
George's county, was appointed to said office by
the county commissioners for said county, and en-
tered into a bond to the State of Maryland, in the
penalty of five hundred dollars conditioned to
make return to said court in the month of Febru-
ary last, and whereas, in consequence of ill health
the said Baden was unable to perform the duties
of said office, and make his return to said com-
missioners within the time limited in said bond ;
therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the time of Thomas M. D. Ba-
den, keeper of the standards of weights and measures
for Prince George's county, in which he may make
his return to the commissioners' Court for said coun-
ty, be and the same is hereby extended to the fifteenth
day of May, eighteen hundred and fifty-six, and if
the said Baden shall make return by said date his
bond shall not be forfeited, or be liable to be put in
suit on account of said delay.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day on which it may be passed.
