of their said willingness so to do, to be adopted by
the board of trustees of said church, therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, George
F. Adams, John W. M. Williams, John W. Ball,
Alien A. Chapman, Andrew F. Crane,. William
Crane, Noah Davis, James Jefferson and Samuel T.
Madden, or a majority of them, trustees of the Sara-
toga Street African Baptist Church, of Baltimore city,
be and they are hereby authorised and empowered to
unite with William Crane of the said city, in the exe-
cution of such act or acts, deed or deeds in the law,
as may be requisite to vest in the said Crane, his
executors, administrators, or assigns, a lease of the
entire properly and premises now used and occupied
jointly by the said Crane, and the said Saratoga Street
African Baptist Church, for the term of ninety nine
years, renewable forever, at and under a clear yearly
rent of three hundred and sixty dollars, in the usual
form of leases for ninety nine years, renewable for-
ever, for property in the city of Baltimore, subject
however during the said lease and the renewals
thereof forever, to the use and occupation of the said
Saratoga Street African Baptist Church, as a church
or place of meeting for colored people, and for schools
for children of the same race, of all that portion of
the said property above the first floor and story
thereof.

AN ACT to incorporate the Central and South Amer-
ican Trading Company.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the passage
of this act, Nathan Rogers, W. W. Spence, A. B.
Patterson, Alien A. Chapman, and Wm. T. Mur-
dock, and such other persons as may associate
with them in the manner hereinafter provided, shall
