LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Mount Airy to Westminster, directly opposite the
dwelling of Major Benjamin Gorsuch; thence with
said road to the Nicodemus road; thence with said
Nicodemus road westwardly to the house of A.
Brown, (colored,) thence by a straight line to the
Stone Chapel, thence by a straight line to Cassell's
mill, on Little Pipe Creek, thence down said creek to
the Melville mills, thence by a straight line to Upton
Roop's saw mill, and down the branch thence to said
Pipe Creek, and with it to the bridge on the road
lending from McKinstry's mills to Uniontown,thence
by a straight line to the bridge over Sam's Creek,
near Rineheart's marble quarries, thence up said
creek, the county line, to the place of beginning.

Place of hold-
ing elections.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the place for hol-
ding elections for said district shall be at New Wind-
sor.

Rights and
privileges.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the inhabitants
of said districts shall be in all respects entitled to
the rights, liberties, and privileges held or to be held,
and enjoyed by the inhabitants of the other election
districts in said county.

Primary
school districts.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the Primary School
districts in said election district shall be numbered
in the following order: Priestland shall be number
one, Greenwood number two, Snader's number three,
Bailes number four, Carroll number five, Wakefield
number six, Springdale number seven, New Wind-
sor number eight.

Judges of elec-
tion.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners for Carroll county shall appoint Judges of
election for said district; and at the expense of the
county shall furnish them with a ballot box, election
laws, &c., in the same way that the other districts
have been furnished, and shall cause a copy of this
act to be published, at the expense of the county, in
two newspapers printed in said county, for the space
of three month preceding the next election for Pres-
ident and Vice-President of the United States.
