AN ACT to authorise the County Commissioners of
Frederick county to change the public road leading
from Urbana to Frederick from a point about one
mile West of Urbana, in said county, to a point
on said road near William Tasker's house, and to
appropriate the sum of two thousand dollars for
making said change.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, It hath been represented to this General
Assembly that the public convenience requires a
change to be made in the location of the public
road leading from Urbana to Frederick for the
purpose of avoiding seven considerable hills, and
securing thereby a more eligible route, therefore,

|
County com-
missioners au-
thorised.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners
of Frederick county be and they are hereby author-
ised to cause the public road leading from Urbana
to Frederick to be changed from a point about one
mile West of Urbana to a point on said road near
a certain William Tasker's house, and to close said
public road, so soon as the new road shall be thrown
open for public travel.

Plat to be
made out.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said Commis-
sioners shall cause a plat of the said road when
opened to be made out and recorded in the Clerk's of-
fice in said county.

Authorised to
levy.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said County
Commissioners be and they are hereby authorised to
levy a sum of money not to exceed two thousand
dollars, for the purpose of securing the right of way
for and opening said road.

In force.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
