strued to exempt the aforesaid bank from the duties
restrictions, limitations, and conditions contained in
an act entitled an act to continue the corporate exis-
tence of the several banking institutions therein men-
tioned, passed at January session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-three, chapter 441, and the act entitled, "An
Act to repeal so much of the act of eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-three," chapter 441, as restricts the
issue of bank notes by the several banking corpora-
tions in this State to the amount of the capital actually
paid in, passed at January session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-four, chapter 162; and that the aforesaid
bank shall be entitled to all rights, powers, and priv-
ileges contained in the aforesaid acts.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect upon its passage.

AN ACT to refund to Thomas J. Brice and John
Brice of Anne Arundel county, a sum of money
therein named.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State be
and he is hereby authorised and directed to refund
and pay upon the warrant of the Comptroller to
Thomas J. Brice and John Brice, of Anne Arundel
county, the sum of twelve dollars and fifty cents,
overpaid by them to the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Anne Arundel county, for a license under the provi-
sions of an act passed December session, eighteen
hundred and fifty-three, chapter eighty-six, to use
and exercise the occupation of bill brokers in the
county of Anne Arundel.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
