AN ACT to regulate the compensation of the State's
Attorney in Dorchester county.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
of Maryland, That in all criminal cases which may
hereafter be tried before a jury in the Circuit Court
for Dorchester county, it shall be lawful for the Judge
of the said Court, in addition to the sum now allow-
ed by law to allow to the State's Attorney for the said
county, such compensation not exceeding the sum
of twenty dollars for any one case, as the said Judge
may deem right and proper, to be levied and collect-
ed from Dorchester county aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

. AN ACT to amend an act entitled, an act to incor-
porate the Neptune Mutual Insurance Company of
Baltimore.
|
|
|
Amended.
|
SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That so much of the fourth section of
the act of eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chapter
one hundred and ninety-two, as limits the amount of
notes and money to be delivered and paid into the
Company, before authorising the issue of policies to
four hundred thousand dollars, be, and the same is
hereby amended, so as to allow the Company to go
into operation as soon as the sum of two hundred
thousand dollars in money and notes, shall have been
delivered and paid into the Company.

take effect from the day of its passage.
