of its departments, offices or agencies. The reports of said audits
shall be published for two weeks in at least two newspapers published
in Baltimore County. Said published reports shall contain a detailed
statement of the expenses of the County, specifying each particular
item of expense and for what and to whom paid.

The County Commissioners may have an additional audit made
of all or any County department at any time in their discretion.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 391
(House Bill 634)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section (1) of
Section 47 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County Treas-
urers", relating to the salary of the County Treasurer for Fred-
erick County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (1) of Section 47 of Article 25 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "County Commissioners",
sub-title "County Treasurers", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

47.

(1). The County Treasurer of Frederick County shall receive an
annual salary of [$6,000.00] $6,500.00.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.

Approved April 11, 1955.

CHAPTER 392
(House Bill 635)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Washington County to borrow an amount not to exceed Eight
Million Dollars ($8,000,000.00) and to issue notes and/or bonds
therefor, for the purpose of constructing new schools in Wash-
ington County.
