and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
40 (f) Charles, St. Mary's and Talbot counties.—The State's attor-
neys of Charles, St. Mary's and Talbot counties shall each receive an
annual salary of $3,000.
The State's attorney of St. Mary's County shall be allowed [six
hundred dollars ($600.00)] twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00) an-
nually for clerical expenses and a six hundred dollars ($600.00)
annual rental allowance.
The county commissioners of Charles County are authorized to
appoint an assistant State's attorney and a secretary to the State's
attorney, each to receive a salary of $1,800.00 a year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(House Bill 549)
AN ACT to add new Section 2-CC(l) to the Maryland-Washington
Regional District Act, as enacted by Chapter 992 of the Acts of
1943 and amended by Chapter 761 of the Acts of 1953, to follow
immediately after Section 2-CC thereof, so as to authorize Mont-
gomery County to fix the amount of the tax for the administrative
expenses of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning
Commission.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 2-CC (1) be and it is hereby added to the Maryland-
Washington Regional District Act, as enacted by Chapter 992 of the
Acts of 1943 and amended by Chapter 761 of the Acts of 1953, to
follow immediately after Section 2-CC thereof, and to read as follows:
