licensee, on whose premises any gambling devices are found, which
are illegal under the laws of the State of Maryland, or any illegal
gambling of any character found,
or any alcoholic beverage found,
other than beer and wine of legal content.

Whenever any on-sale licensee operates a pool or billiard parlor
on premises licensed hereunder, he shall not permit minors under
18 years of age to enter into or loiter about that part of the premises
devoted to the playing of pool or billiards unless accompanied by a
parent. A violation of this prohibition shall empower the said
Board in its discretion, to revoke or suspend the license of said
on-sale licensee after a public hearing.

SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THIS ACT
IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE AN EMERGENCY MEASURE
AND NECESSARY FOR THE IMMEDIATE PRESERVATION
OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND HAVING BEEN
PASSED BY A YEA AND NAY VOTE SUPPORTED BY THREE-
FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS ELECTED TO EACH OF THE TWO
HOUSES OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE SAME SHALL
TAKE EFFECT FROM THE DAY OF ITS PASSAGE.

CHAPTER 360
(House Bill 384)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 154 (i)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1954 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "County Dispensa-
ries", generally amending the alcoholic beverage laws of Harford
County as to the officers or inspectors employed by the Liquor Con-
trol Board of said County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 154 (i) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1954 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"County Dispensaries", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

154. Powers.

(i) Harford County.—[In Harford County, the officers or in-
spectors employed by the Board may be the Sheriff of Harford
County or any of his deputies, or any constable of said county or any
town officer of any incorporated municipality of said county; or

EXPLANATION: Italics indicate new matter added to existing law.
