System", relating to pensions for widows and children of volun-
teer ambulance companies.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 247A of Title 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County (1953 Supplement), title 'Tensions", sub-title
"Fire Department System", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
247A. In the event a member of any volunteer fire or ambulance
company of Baltimore County is killed in active discharge of his
duties as a member of such volunteer fire or ambulance company
or dies as a result of injuries sustained in the active discharge of
such duties, said death occurring after January 1, 1951, the County
Commissioners of Baltimore County are hereby authorized and
directed to pay his widow, until her death or remarriage, the sum
of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month, and to pay for the support of
each infant child surviving him the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00)
per month, to be paid to the mother, guardian or person actually
caring for such child, until such child reaches the age of eighteen
years. The County Commissioners are directed to levy upon the
assessable property of Baltimore County each year a sum sufficient
to make the payments required hereunder or that may have accrued
accounting from the date of death of such volunteer fireman or
Volunteer ambulanceman.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 359 through 364, inclusive, and Sections
370 through 380, inclusive, of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Roads", repealing certain obsolete provisions
as to roads in Queen Anne's County.
WHEREAS, These provisions relate to gates across roads, roads over
dams, and to the Roads Engineer of Queen Anne's County and other
provisions as to roads which are obsolete and unnecessary, it is
therefore desirable to repeal them.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 359 through 364, inclusive, and Sections 370 through
380, inclusive, of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"Roads", be and they are hereby repealed.
