SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 237 through 244, inclusive, of Article 18 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen
Anne's County", sub-title "Jailer and Jail", Section 241 thereof hav-
ing been amended by Chapter 335 of the Acts of 1933, be and they
are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 317
(Senate Bill 497)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 277 through 279, inclusive, of Article 18
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Kent Island Canal", relat-
ing to an authorization to the Claiborne-Annapolis Ferry Company
to dig, construct and maintain a canal across Kent Island.
WHEREAS, These provisions as to the digging of a canal across
Kent Island are now obsolete, and no longer desirable, therefore they
should be repealed; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 277 through 279, inclusive, of Article 18 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Kent Island Canal", be and they are hereby
repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 318
(Senate Bill 498)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 302 through 311, inclusive, of Article 18
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Live Stock" and "Livery Stable
Keepers", relating to certain provisions and regulations of livestock
and livery stable keepers in Queen Anne's County.
WHEREAS, These provisions are now no longer effective, and it is
desirable that they be repealed as obsolete matter; now therefore
EXPLANATION: Italics indicate new matter added to existing law.
