by the Comptroller of the State of Maryland out of

THE REVENUES OF THE RACING COMMISSION, PURSUANT
TO THE PROvisions of Section 19 of Article 78B of this Code (1951
Edition).
IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE GOVERNOR TO PROVIDE
FOR SUCH PAYMENTS IN THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1957 AND THEREAFTER, AND SUCH EXPENSES
SHALL NOT BE PAID BY THE COMPTROLLER UNLESS PRO-
VISION THEREFOR HAS BEEN MADE IN THE BUDGET.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 30
(House Bill 20)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 131 (d) of
Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Governor — Executive and Administrative Departments",
sub-title "Commissioners for Uniform State Laws", increasing the
annual contribution which may be made to the National Confer-
ence of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 131 (d) of Article 41 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Administrative De-
partments", sub-title "Commissioners for Uniform State Laws", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
131.
(d) The said board may, out of its annual appropriation, contribute
to the expenses of the National Conference of Commissioners on
Uniform State Laws such sum as they may think proper, not exceed-
ing, however, [Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00)] Seven Hundred
Dollars ($700. 00) a year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.
