therefrom; provided, however, it shall be lawful to use sneak boat
or bushwack rig on the Susquehanna Flats and on the waters of the
Elk and Sassafras rivers in Cecil County and on the waters of the
Potomac and Monocacy rivers in Allegany and Frederick counties
and on the waters of the Monocacy River in Carroll County ajid on
the waters of the Potomac River in Montgomery and Washington
counties. It shall be unlawful to use any decoy, sneak boat, or bush-
wack rig (or any part thereof) within 500 yards of any stake blind
or shore blind in Harford and Cecil counties. Any gun which cannot
be habitually raised and fired from the shoulder and any gun larger
than number ten gauge or rifle of any description found in the
vicinity of the areas of wildfowl shall be confiscated by any officer of
this State and delivered to the Director.
(b) License to hunt from boats in certain counties. The clerks of
the circuit courts of Allegany, Frederick, Carroll, Montgomery, and
Washington counties, upon the application of any resident of Alle-
gany, Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery and Washington counties,
being the owner of any skiff or rowboat as herein allowed to be used
in hunting of wild waterfowl on the waters of the Monocacy and
Potomac rivers in Frederick County and on the waters of the Monoc-
acy River in Carroll County and on the waters of the Potomac River
in Allegany, Montgomery and Washington counties, shall issue to
said applicants a license under the seal of his court to gun for and
shoot at wild waterfowl from such boat, the cost of which shall be
five dollars ($5.00) for each and every boat, and in addition to the
moneys received from licenses aforesaid the clerk of the court shall
collect and retain in lieu of all compensation the sum of fifty cents
(50) for issuing said license. Every licensee shall be required to
paint his name and license number on some prominent part of said
skiff or towboat in large legible letters and numbers to correspond
with said name and number of license issued to him. Said license
shall only be valid during the current open season provided by law
for hunting of wild water fowl in this State.
(c) Same; disposition of proceeds. The Clerks of the circuit court
of Allegany, Carroll, Frederick, Montgomery, Washington, Harford
and Cecil counties shall on the first day of July, 1943, and on the first
day of each and every month thereafter transmit to the Game and
Inland Fish Commission of the State all moneys received by them for
the issuance of the aforesaid licenses and such funds shall be ac-
counted for by the said Commission to the Comptroller of the State.
All moneys so received by the Comptroller shall be placed to the
credit of the State Game Protection Fund, and said clerks shall re-
port to the Director the first of each and every month the name and
address of each licensee to whom they have issued licenses the
preceding month for a skiff or rowboat, designating number of said
license and description of said boat.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
