SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 186 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", be and it is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted, with amendments, to read as follows:
186. The said clerk shall also execute a bond to the State of
Maryland, approved by said commissioners, in [the penalty of one
thousand dollars,] such amount as the said Commissioners shall in
their discretion determine, for the true and faithful performance of
the duties of his office, which bond shall be recorded in the office of
the clerk of the circuit court for said county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 225
(Senate Bill 486)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 187 of
Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "County Com-
missioners", providing that the salary of the Clerk, and Deputy
Clerk, if any, shall be determined by the County Commissioners,
and removing certain obsolete language therefrom.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 187 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", be and it is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted, with amendments, to read as follows:
187. The Clerk of the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's
County and the Deputy Clerk, if any be appointed, shall receive
annually as i[a] compensation [for his services the sum of twelve
hundred dollars, and said clerk is empowered to administer an oath
or affirmation to any account to any person presenting a claim to
the Commissioners against said county, and he shall be allowed to
charge such persons the sum of ten cents for every such oath or
affirmation so administered] such sums as shall be determined, in
their discretion, by the County Commissioners.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
