title "General Provisions", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 6-A and to follow immediately after Section 6 thereof, author-
izing the County Commissioners of Cecil County to acquire, erect
buildings on, and sell real or leasehold property for any public
purpose.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 25 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "County Com-
missioners", sub-title "General Provisions," said new section to be
known as Section 6-A, to follow immediately after Section 6 thereof,
and to read as follows:
6-A. The County Commissioners of Cecil County, in addition to,
but not in substitution of, the powers which may have been or may
hereafter be granted them, shall have the full power and authority
to acquire by lease, purchase or condemnation real or leasehold
property needed for any public purpose and to erect buildings
thereon for the benefit of the County and to sell at public or private
sale any real or leasehold property belonging to the County when in
their discretion it is no longer needed for public use, and to execute
and acknowledge any and all deeds and/or other instruments neces-
sary to effect and complete such lease, purchase or sale of real or
leasehold property.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 74 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Elections", sub-title "Elections", relating to the hours of
opening and closing of the polls in Talbot County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 74 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Elections", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
74. The polling places shall be opened by the judges of election
in Baltimore City at 6 o'clock A.M. and in the counties at 7 o'clock
A.M., and shall be kept open in Baltimore City and in the counties
until 7 o'clock P.M. of the same day, when they shall be closed; pro-
vided, however, that the Supervisors of Elections in any county may
provide that all or any of the polling places in such county may be
