SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 138
(House Bill 394)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 332B of
the Anne Arundel County Code (1947 Edition, being Article 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), said section having
been amended by Chapter 495 of the Acts of 1951, removing from
said section the provisions requiring the Linthicum Heights Com-
munity Fire Company to make certain payments to the Ferndale
Fire Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 332B of the Anne Arundel County Code (1947 Edition,
being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), said
section having been amended by Chapter 495 of the Acts of 1951, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

332B. The funds received by the Linthicum Heights Community
Fire Company shall be used for the purpose of purchasing, repairing,
replacing, operating and maintaining its fire fighting equipment and
apparatus and the housing of the same, provided, however, that no
payment or disbursement of any of said funds shall be made by any
such fire company or the Treasurer thereof without the approval of its
Board of Directors. The amount and type of equipment of said fire
company shall conform to the standards prescribed by the Anne Arun-
del County Volunteer Fire Association and no resolution, regulation
or by-laws shall be passed by said fire company limiting or restricting
the territory within said precinct of said election district within which
it will respond to emergency or fire calls. [The Board of Directors
of the Linthicum Heights Community Fire Company shall pay to the
Ferndale Fire Company from any funds received under this special
fire tax, that portion of taxes derived from the second precinct of the
fifth election district, now served by the said Ferndale Fire Com-
pany.]

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
