and is hereby specifically appropriated to be expended by the Com-
mission of Tidewater Fisheries for the purposes above named. Pro-
vided, further, however, that one-half (1/2) of any such monies re-
ceived on behalf of the Conowingo Dam across the Susquehanna River
shall be credited to the State Game Protection Fund, the balance to be
expended as heretofore in this section provided. Any fines for viola-
tion of the provisions of this section shall be paid to the Commission
of Tidewater Fisheries to be credited to the Conservation Fund.

PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT NOTHING CONTAINED IN
THIS SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ANY DAMS WHICH HAVE
BEEN CONSTRUCTED, OR MAY NOW BE UNDER CONSTRUC-
TION BY ANY SANITARY DISTRICT CREATED BY AN ACT
OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND TO PROVIDE
A PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted That all acts inconsistent with
this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the unconstitutionality,
invalidity or unenforceability of any part of this Act shall not affect
the remaining parts thereof.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 825)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 8 (31) of
Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "What Shall be Taxed and
Where", relating to a tax exemption for the Montgomery County
Historical Society, Inc.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 8 (31) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "What
Shall be Taxed and Where", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(31) Property, real and personal, owned by the Historical Society
of Frederick County, Inc., and the Montgomery County Historical
Society, Inc.
