SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the General Assembly of
Maryland hereby finds, determines and declares that the term "mu-
nicipal corporation" in Article 11E of the Constitution of Maryland
does not embrace or include the Washington Suburban Sanitary Dis-
trict which was incorporated by Chapter 122 of the laws of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1918, that the Washington Sub-
urban Sanitary District cannot be classified in any group of municipal
corporations as required by said Article 11E, and that said Article
11E therefore has no application to the Washington Suburban Sani-
tary District.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 687
(House Bill 728)

AN ACT to add a new section to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1953 Edition) and the Montgomery
County Code (1953 Supp.), being Articles 17 and 16, respectively,
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, titles "Prince
George's County" and "Montgomery County", sub-title "Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary District", said new section to be known
as Section 1561B of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1953 Edition) and Section 130-18-1 of the
Montgomery County Code (1953 Supp.), and to follow immedi-
ately after Sections 1561A and 130-18H respectively, said Section
1561A having been added by Chapter 38 of the Acts of 1954,
adding an additional area to the Washington Suburban Sanitary
District.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition) and the
Montgomery County Code (1953 Supp.), being Articles 17 and 16,
respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, titles
"Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County", sub-title
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District", said new section to be
known as Section 1561B of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1953 Edition) and Section 130-18-1 of the Mont-
gomery County Code (1953 Supp.), and to follow immediately after
Sections 1561A and 130-18H respectively, said Section 1561A having
been added by Chapter 38 of the Acts of 1954, and to read as follows:

1561B (130-18-1). The area herein described is hereby added to
the Washington Suburban Sanitary District created by Chapter 122
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1918:
