308A. IT SHALL NOT BE LAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON,
FIRM OR CORPORATION TO ADVERTISE HIMSELF OR IT-
SELF AS A "MASTER PLUMBER" OR "REGISTERED PLUMB-
ER" UNLESS SUCH PERSON, OR SOME ONE ASSOCIATED
WITH SUCH FIRM OR CORPORATION IS A MASTER PLUMB-
ER AND HAS BEEN ISSUED A CERTIFICATE OF COMPE-
TENCY

SEC-
TIONS 309, 314 AND 315 OF THIS ARTICLE AND IN THE
CASE OF PLUMBING ADVERTISEMENTS IN FIRM OR COR-
PORATE NAMES, ALL SUCH ADVERTISEMENTS SHALL
CONTAIN THE NAME OF A PERSON ASSOCIATED THERE-
WITH WHO IS A MASTER PLUMBER. ANY PERSON, FIRM
OR CORPORATION AND THE MEMBERS, OFFICERS, OR
AGENTS OF SUCH FIRM OR CORPORATION VIOLATING THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION, SHALL BE FINED
NOT LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS, NOR MORE THAN FIFTY
DOLLARS, FOR EVERY DAY OR EVERY PART OF EVERY
DAY THAT SAID VIOLATION CONTINUES. THE PROVISIONS
OF THIS SECTION SHALL BE APPLICABLE ONLY WITHIN
BALTIMORE CITY. PROVIDED, THAT THIS SECTION SHALL
NOT EXTEND TO ANY PERSONS LICENSED UNDER THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 682 TO 702 OF ARTICLE 66C OF
THE ANNOTATED CODE.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1955 1956.
