THE COMMITTEE ON FINANCE OF THE
SENATE AND JOURNALIZED IN THE
JOURNAL OF THE SENATE FOR THE
1958 SESSION. The appropriation to be
allocated by budget amendment to the various
State agencies as may be necessary to supple-
ment the agency appropriation included in
this budget. THE STANDARD SALARY
BOARD SHALL NOT PLACE THE AD-
JUSTED SALARY SCHEDULE INTO
OPERATION UNTIL THE APPROPRI-
ATED FUNDS THEREFOR ARE SUFFI-
CIENT TO PAY THE COST THEREOF
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE FISCAL

From Special and Federal Funds for supplement-
ing a revised salary schedule and to adjust
the salary scales of those employees as recom-
mended by the Standard Salary Board, except
for those positions specifically fixed by
statute, authorization is hereby granted to
use Special and Federal Funds for this
purpose, in the amount of $831,000 $1, to
be payable out of revenues and grants
which are the source of funds for the
payment of budget appropriations payable
out of Special and Federal Funds; this
amount being estimated and it being the in-
tention that the actual amount, whether it be
more or less, shall be made available in allo-
cating by budget amendment to the various
State agencies the amounts necessary to
supplement the appropriations for salaries in
this budget.
