Provided, further, that each year thereafter every full-time super-
vising teacher or supervisor of pupil personnel I shall be entitled to
receive an annual increase of $300.00 above the required payment
for the previous year until the following scale applicable to his or
her years of teaching and supervising service is reached, only to the
extent that it would not result in the salary received by any such
supervising teacher or supervisor of pupil personnel I being in excess
of the amounts as required in this section.

(e) Beginning with the school year [1955-1956] 1957-1958 a
supervising teacher or supervisor of pupil personnel I having com-
pleted at least one year of graduate work and meeting the require-
ments for the appropriate certificate shall receive [$200] $700.00 per
year more than the scale as set forth in Sub-section (d) of this sec-
tion. Such supervising teachers or supervisors of pupil personnel I
shall be employed on a twelve-month basis.
(i) Every visiting teacher holding the appropriate certificate shall
receive a minimum salary [equal to] of $500.00 in excess of that
which is required to be paid to a teacher with equivalent training and
years of experience who is already in the public school system of that
political subdivision.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That Section 213 of Article 77
of the Annotated Code of Maryland ( 1956 Supplement), title "Public
Education", sub-title "Chapter 19. Source and Distribution of In-
come", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
213. (a) The Board FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 1957-1958 AND
THEREAFTER, THE BOARD of education of each county and the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore shall be entitled to, and shall be
paid, each year in the manner and subject to the limitations herein-
after provided, [four hundred dollars ($400.00)] one thousand dollars
($1,000.00) or such sum in excess thereof as may be provided in the
