Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1958.

CHAPTER 68
(House Bill 6)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 15 of
Article 5 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Appeals", sub-title "Appeals to Court of Appeals", sub-
heading "Appeals in Criminal Cases", and to add new Section 15A
to said Article, sub-title and sub-heading of the Code, to follow
immediately after Section 15 thereof, providing for the payment
of the costs and expenses of Appeals in Criminal Cases to the Court
of Appeals by persons unable to pay such costs and expenses by
reason of their poverty, except in certain cases and relating gen-
erally to criminal appeals by such persons.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 15 of Article 5 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Appeals", sub-title "Appeals to the Court of
Appeals", sub-heading "Appeals in Criminal Cases", be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments and that new
Section 15A be and it is hereby added to said Article, sub-title and
sub-heading of the Code, to follow immediately after Section 15
thereof, and all to read as follows:
