authorize the State Treasurer to make disbursements therefrom
upon the order of the State Board of Education; (3) empower and
direct the State Board of Education to cooperate with the Office of
Vocational Rehabilitation, in carrying out the provisions of the
Federal Civilian Vocational Rehabilitation Act :[;] and the Ran-
dolph-Sheppard Vending Stand Act as amended; (4) authorize and
empower the State Board of Education to cooperate with the De-
partment of Health, Education and Welfare of the United States, or
any agency or instrumentality thereof, and to enter into any con-
tracts with such department, agency or instrumentality of the United
States necessary and desirable to carry out the disability determina-
tion provisions of the Federal Social Security Act.
Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1958.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 36 (1) (c),
49, and 57 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-titles "Claims
and Compensation; Benefits" and "Appeals", amending the Work-
men's Compensation Laws with respect to benefits in permanent
total disability cases, certain lump sum payments therefor and the
payment of fees and claims as costs or attorney's fees in such
cases.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 36(1) (c), 49, and 57 of Article 101 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation",
sub-titles "Claims and Compensation; Benefits" and "Appeals", be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments,
to read as follows:
36(1)
(c) The compensation for the foregoing specific injury shall be
paid in addition to, and consecutively with, the compensation herein-
after provided in sub-section (2) of this section. // any employee dies
from any cause or causes not compensable under this Article, the
right to any compensation payable under this Sub-section, unpaid
at the date of his death, shall survive to his surviving dependents
as the Commission may determine, if there be such surviving de-
pendents, and if there be none such, then to his wife and children
