shall not prevent the appearance and testimony before any committee
or group of members of the General Assembly of an officer, agent
or employee of the State or of any department, bureau or agency of
the State or any member of any commission or board of the State
upon the specific request of a member of the General Assembly.

Sec 4. And be it further enacted, That no passenger motor ve-
hicle to be used by a State officer or employee, other than an elected
official, or the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, shall be purchased
with funds appropriated by this Act, the net cost of which inclusive
of trade-in allowance, shall exceed $2,200.

Sec 5. And be it further enacted, That it is the intention that the
appropriations contained in this bill for the State Office Buildings in
Annapolis and Baltimore are to be supplemented by transfers from
the budgets of the various agencies and departments occupying the
buildings for such expenses as may not be adequately provided for
within the respective budgets for the operation and maintenance of
these buildings. The above transfers, if necessary, are to be effected
by budget amendment.

the passage of this budget, to Supple-
ment appropriations for the fiscal
year 1958 to provide for the follow-

To provide for the employment of
an additional Doorkeeper at $8.00

per diem ..........................................        240

To provide for the employment of
two additional Stenographers at

$12.00 per diem .............................. 720

House Clerk (3) at $10.00 per diem 900
Bill Analyst for Ways and Means

Committee at $10.00 per diem.... 300

General Fund Appropriation....................           2,160

SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET — FISCAL YEAR 1959

SPECIAL FUNDS
1.              DEPARTMENT OF MARYLAND STATE POLICE

07.05.00.06 Automotive Operations

To become available immediately upon the pass-
age of this budget to supplement appropria-
tions for the fiscal year 1958 to provide for
the purchase of replacement and additional
motor vehicles allowed in the current appro-
priations which due to increased costs are not
sufficient.
