eighteen hundred and fifty, in order that the soldiers therein pro-
vided for, may receive an amount equal to one hundred and
sixty acres of land.

8. Resolution relative to the Bonds purchased for the use of the
Sinking Fund, and the Coupon Certificates of interest which
have been cancelled.

9. Resolution tendering the thanks of this State to Captain
Creighton, Captain Lowe, and Captain Stouffer, for their noble
and humane conduct in rescuing so many lives from the wreck
of the ill-fated Steamer San Francisco.

10. Resolution authorising Thomas N. Queen, to withdraw
from the archives of the State certain papers.

11. Resolution relating to the establishment of an Agricultural
School and experimental farm in connection with the Smith-
sonian Institution.

12. Resolution requesting our Senators and Representatives in
Congress to use their influence to procure the passage of a law,
making free so much of the Washington and Rockville turnpike
road as lies within the District of Columbia.
