James Carter, James Hopkins and Emanuel Dadds, against the
State of Maryland.

249. An act for the relief of the sureties on the bond of John
W. Baker, former collector of Montgomery county.

250. An act to authorise the consolidation of the Baltimore and
Susquehanna Railroad company, with the York and Maryland
Line Railroad company the York and Cumberland Railroad com-
pany, and the Susquehanna Railroad company, by the name of
the Northern Central Railway company.

251. An act to authorise the county commissioners of Prince
George's county, to appropriate and use the tobacco fund of said
county now in their hands.

252. An act to authorise the trustees of the primary school dis-
trict number one, in Queen Anne's county, to levy a tax on the
assessable properly of that portion of school district number six, of
Caroline county, which was united with the primacy school dis-
trict number one in Queen Anne's county, and to appoint a col-
lector for said tax and to require the Orphans' court of Caroline
county, to determine the proportion of school fund due that por-
tion of said school district in Caroline county, and pay over the
same to the trustees of primary school district number one, in
Queen Anne's county.

253. An act to authorise the treasurer to pay Isaac Nesbitt, cer-
tain commissions on monies collected and paid into the treasury
by him as clerk of the Washington county court.

254. An act to make valid the acts of the commissioners of
Caroline county in establishing the compensation or salaries for
road supervisors.

255. An act to allow a pension to Mary Green, widow of the
late Robert Cross, a musician in the war of the revolution, and
appropriating a sum of money for the payment thereof.

256. An act to lay out and establish a new election district in
Dorchester county, to be called district number eleven, or draw
bridge.

257. An act to regulate contracts between trustees and teachers
of primary schools in Howard county.

253. An act to incorporate a bank by the name and style of the
Farmers and Merchants Bank of Greensborough.

259. An act to incorporate the Bel-Air and Lagrange Turnpike
company in Harford county.

260. An act to provide for the sale of the interest of the State of
Maryland in the Baltimore and the Susquehanna Railroad com-
pany, and for the completion of the Northern Central Railway
from Tide water in the city of Baltimore to Sunbury, in the State
of Pennsylvania, and for vesting certain powers to that in the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.
