APPENDIX.

premises or any part thereof, in the name of the whole,

after contained to the contrary notwithstanding.

145. Every lease for a greater term than seven years,

shall be acknowledged and recorded in the same man-
ner as a deed, and all leases for a greater term than
three years shall be in writing, but a lease for a term of
three years or less need not be in writing.
