APPENDIX.
This act was reported in the House of Delegates, from a select
committee, and passed by that body, at too late a period of the
session for the Senate to act upon it; and, at the suggestion of
members of the Legislature, is appended to the volume of the
Laws for the examination of the legal profession and the public
generally.
AN ACT to amend and simplify the forms and mode of
conveyancing in this State.
WHEREAS, the forms and mode of conveyancing in
this State may be rendered more simple and less pro-
lix than forms heretofore used; Therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the passage of
this act the following shall be the mode, manner and
forms of conveyancing in this State, and the rules rela-
tive to the effect and operation of transfers, and that all
acts and parts of acts relating to conveyancing and the
operation of transfers and the acknowledging and record-
ing of deeds and other instruments inconsistent with
the provisions of this act be and the same are hereby
repealed.

CHAPTER 1.
|
|
|
|
1. This act and all its provisions shall be construed
liberally and with a view to promote its objects.
2. Nothing herein contained shall be construed to
apply to last wills and testaments.
3. Any interest in or claim to real estate may be dis-
posed of and conveyed by deed.
