SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That nothing herein con-
tained shall be construed to authorise the said corpora-
tion to exercise banking privilege, or to issue any note,
token or device, to circulate as currency, and the
General Assembly may at any time alter or repeal this
charter.

|
In force.
|
SBC. 7. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage, and shall continue in
force until the first day of January, in the year eighteen
hundred and ninety, and until the end of the next ses-
sion of the General Assembly thereafter, unless sooner
repealed.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act to provide for
the Inspection of Guano in the city of Baltimore, passed
at December session eighteen hundred and forty-six,
chapter three hundred and forty-one.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, the inspection of all articles should show
as nearly as possible the quality of the article inspect-
ed; And whereas, the chief valuable constituents of
guano, are its ammonia and phosphates; There-
fore,
|
|
|
Guano to be
analized.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of
this act, that all guano landed, transhiped, sold
or offered for sale in the State of Maryland, shall
be analized so as to show the per cent age of
its ammonical and phosphatic compound, and that
