CHAPTER 275.

AN ACT to increase the pay for labor on the public
roads in Caroline county.

Sum allowed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That for the purpose of securing labor
on the public roads in Caroline county, the county
commissioners for said county be, and they are hereby
authorised to allow such laborers the sum of seventy-
five cents per day.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 276.

AN ACT to authorise the county commissioners of
Prince George's county to sell the tobacco inspection

warehouses at Upper Marlboro', Nottingham and Ma-
gruder's Ferry.

Authority to

sell.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Prince
George's county be, and they are hereby authorised
and empowered to sell, either at public or private sale,
for cash or on a reasonable credit, as to them may seem
most conducive to the public interest, the tobacco in-
spection warehouses and the lots of ground on which
they stand, at Upper Marlboro', Nottingham and Ma-
gruder's Ferry, and convey the same to the purchaser
or purchasers thereof, and apply the proceeds to the
payment of repairs now being made to the court house
of said county, or such other county purposes as they
in their judgment may deem proper.
