default, shall be calculated only from the time when
said last instalment was made good.

Rights and
privileges.
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid bank
from the time its capital stock shall be actually paid up
in gold and silver coin or in either and not before shall
be entitled to all the rights, powers, privileges and be
subject to all the duties, restrictions, limitations and
conditions of the Cecil Bank, which is incorporated by
an act entitled an act to incorporate and establish a com-
pany under the name of the Cecil Bank at the village
of Port Deposit, in Cecil county, passed March the
seventh, eighteen hundred and fifty, by the General
Assembly of Maryland, except so much thereof as may
be found inconsistent with the provisions of this act;

Proviso.
|
Provided however, that the said bank hereby incorpora-
ted shall not be allowed to issue or put in circulation
notes to a larger amount than double the capital of said
bank actually paid in.
|
|
|
|
Liability.
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the stockholders
and directors shall be liable to the amount of their share
or shares of stocks in said bank, for all its debts and
liabilities upon note bill or otherwise and that no direc-
tor or other officer of Laid Bank shall borrow any money
therefrom.
|

|
|
In force.
|
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate the Bel-Air and Lagrange
Turnpike company, in Harford county.
|
|
|
|
Incorporated.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a company be, and the same is
hereby incorporated, to make a turnpike road on the
bed of any of the present county roads, leading from
the town of Bel-Air to the Lagrange iron works, in
Harford county.
