dollars, the following fees, to wit: for issuing each
summons in debt or damages, fifteen cents, for each
summons for witnesses, including all the witnesses ap-
plied for at the same time, twenty-five-cents; venire to
summons free holders, twenty-five cents; fieri facias,

twenty five cents; vendition exponas, thirty-five cents;
scire facias, thirty-five cents; every supersedeas, each
justice, fifteen cents; every oath or affidavit, five cents ;
probate of account, ten cents; every judgment rendered
where there is no trial, fifteen cents; every judgment
rendered on trial, fifty cents; commitment, fifteen
cents; releasement, fifteen cents; warrant of attach-
ment, twenty-five cents; venire to summon a jury in a
case of forcible entry and detainer, seventy-five cents;
taking inquisition and return thereon, four dollars; war-
rant of restitution, seventy-five cents; taking every
acknowledgment of every deed, twenty-five cents, from
each person making an acknowledgment; taking any
other acknowledgment, fifteen cents; a pass, twenty-five
cents; certificate of stays, forty cents; issuing sum-
mons in replevin, twenty-five cents; issuing writs of
attachment, twenty-five cents; taking replevin, or oth-
er bonds, twenty-five cents; and in all cases where the
demand in controversy exceeds the sum of fifty dollars,
they shall respectively charge, have and he entitled to
receive the following fees, to wit: for issuing each
summons in debt or damages, and making docket entry,
twenty-five cents; rendering judgment on all trial cases,
fifty cents; entering judgment by confession, twenty-
five cents; entering continuance ten cents; to be paid

Proviso.

by the party applying for the same; Provided, objec-
tion be made by the opposite party, search or trans-
cript from the docket, ten cents; and they shall charge,
have and be entitled to receive the following fees, in
criminal cases, to be paid by the county for issuing each
State's writ, twenty-five cents; search warrant, twenty-
five cents; taking recognizance of witness, each fifteen
cents; taking recognizances, in each case reported to
court, twenty-five cents; to any justice of the peace
for holding an inquest upon deceased persons, the sum
of five dollars.

Other fees.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That justices of the
peace, be and they are hereby authorised to have, re-
ceive and charge all, and any fees, which they are now
authorised by law to have, receive and charge, other
than those enumerated and prescribed by the first sec-
tion of this law.
