SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That so much of the
fifth section of the act entitled, an act to divide the
State into six representative districts, passed December
session, eighteen hundred and forty-three, chapter six-
teen, as. fixes the first Wednesday in October as the day
for electing representatives to Congress, be, and the
same is hereby repealed.

AN ACT entitled, an Act appropriating the sum of
Two Thousand Dollars, to meet the Deficiencies of
the Contingent Fund, for the year one thousand
eight hundred and fifty-one.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of two thousand dollars
be, and the same is hereby appropriated to pay the con-
tingent expenses of the State incurred, due and unpaid,
for the year eighteen Hundred and fifty-one, and the
Treasurer is hereby directed and required to pay, upon
the warrants of the Comptroller, the orders of the
Executive, for any sum or sums not exceeding two
thousand dollars, out of any unappropriated monies
in the Treasury.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.
