CHAP. 278.

Inconsistent
acts repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That all such parts of
the act of Assembly, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and twenty-three, chapter one hun-
dred and twenty-five, entitled, an act to incorporate the
its town of Williamsport, in Washington county, and of
several supplements that are inconsistent with the fore-
going provisions, shall be, and the same are hereby re-
pealed.

In force.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from and after the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 277.

27, 1852.

AN ACT to amend the Charier of the Baltimore
Orphan Asylum.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That so much of the second section of.
the act passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and seven, chapter one hundred and forty-five, as pro-
vides that the yearly value of the properly, real, person-
al and mixed, held by the Baltimore Orphan Asylum,
shall not exceed the sum of three thousand dollars, be,
and the same is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corpora-
tion shall not at any one time, hold or possess property,
real, personal or mixed, yielding an annual sum greater
than twelve thousand dollars.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That when any two jus-
tices of the peace shall have placed any child or chil-
dren in the aforementioned asylum, such child or chil-
dren shall be under and subject to the like regulations,
powers and authority as though placed in said asylum
by any Orphans' Court.
